Transferring your existing HSA from an administrator to your Twic HSA is simple! Here's a step-by-step guide to help you do just that.

  1. Please download the HSA Asset Transfer Form here.

  2. For Section 1: HSA Account Information, please fill in the information from your Twic HSA and your employer's information. Reach out to our Member Experience team for help if you can't find the information.

  3. For Section 2: Current Custodian Information, please fill in the information from your existing HSA. This can usually be found by logging into your existing HSA portal.

  4. For Section 3: Funding Instructions, in most cases, you will need to check the HSA (Transaction Code 208) box. If you're in doubt, reach out to our Member Experience team for clarification.

  5. For Section 5: Transfer Instructions, we recommend that you transfer your entire account balance and close the account upon transfer completion.

  6. That's it! Once you complete the form, please mail it to your previous HSA custodian for processing. They will take care of the transfer by following the guidelines in Section 6.

  7. Once the form is sent, please expect 10-15 business days for the balance to be transferred over. There will be a 7-10 day blackout period, during which you cannot access the funds or use the debit card from your existing HSA provider. During this time, you can continue to use your Twic HSA.

  8. Once the period ends, your existing HSA funds will be moved into Twic!
